PS-100 PLUGGING SWITCH

Plugging means reversing the armature connections of a motor while the motor is running in a given direction. This reverses the armature current and a large braking torque is developed that will not only bring the motor to a quick stop, but can prevent rotation reversal by disconnecting the motor armature from the line after the motor has been electrically plugged.
