HAMPDEN Engineering was established in 1954 as a manufacturer of electrical power distribution systems for education. The high quality and state-of-the-art design of these systems have made them a standard for engineering production process controls, maintenance and test facilities both in this country and abroad. Today, as in the beginning, all HAMPDEN stockholders are actively engaged in the management of the company.
HAMPDEN Engineering has never undergone any changes in management, policy and overall corporate philosophy but most especially, customer service. Because of this remarkable consistency, the name HAMPDEN has come to be associated with people and products you can rely on.
The main office and factory of HAMPDEN Engineering Corporation is located on a large tract in East Longmeadow, Massachusetts. A suburb of Springfield, East Longmeadow is located near the intersection of two superhighways and is conveniently close to Bradley International Airport. HAMPDEN's factory contains a complete metal fabrication shop, a machine shop, manufacturing and assembly areas, and a dust-free electronics room for the wiring and programming of computers and digital simulators. The development and production capabilities are continually being expanded.
In addition to industrial training equipment, HAMPDEN designs and builds custom panelboards for power distribution, automatic control, quality control and maintenance testing, and many other industrial applications. The quality of both the materials and workmanship that go into HAMPDEN panels is unsurpassed. A staff of application specialists work directly with the customer's engineers in the planning, layout, and selection of equipment to meet specific needs. Electrical characteristics and requirements for all countries are available as a normally produced product.
